Trading batsman

Trading is like batting in cricket. (Operators are the fielding team with fielders, wicket keeper and bowlers - spin, pacers etc). Even umpires are on their side these days.

As a batsman you see the ball coming (in charts) and anticipate that it is likely to land at abc spot at xyz speed after remaining in flight with or without turn or swing.

You have be ready with back lift , mental and feet positioning etc.

You have to hit the ball as per the ball keeping in mind the field placement etc.

And then it all boils down to timing. Initially the timing is all over the place. But with practice it improves. After a lot of practice you learn timing. Good timing good shot   Excellent timing terrific shot (and trade). Muscle memory!

Imagine swinging the bat without looking at or judging the ball, without having idea of field placement or spot where ball is coming…. That is what most batsman in the street and pit do.

You do get out sometimes. In fact, many times. That’s ok. But the ones who score more runs and have long career are the ones who are much better in timing. And that comes with practice. With eyes and minds open. And of course with coach around.

The real risks after Venezuela coup

 - US has taken away Venezuelan President Moduro as a symbolic act. The vice president to Moduro, Rodriguez has assumed charge as President. She is not pro-US. She is already demanding the release of Moduro

- All US soldiers returned. Nobody behind (?). Unlike Iraq or Afghanistan, where the US left soldiers and others to administer.

- Venezuelan people will not let the US take their oil. It will be an emotive political issue. The US dream of 45 trillion $ booty of oil is far-fetched and premature. Who will let  US oil companies come and take over the oil assets of Venezuela?  It is not that easy. Security cover?

- But the US has surely taken panga with China. China is dependent on Extra-Heavy crude of Venezuela for its refineries. China is heavily invested in Venezuela. good chance we will see China and Russia supporting Venezuela. Big chance of increased instability in Venezuela.

- If at all US gets Venezuelan oil, it will not take it for itself but try to sell to the world against DOLLARS. because for itself it will like to buy from international market with its dollars which is just printed paper for US. this is last ditch effort of US to stop slide of dollar in value and as reserve currency of the world. in reality, this might hasten the process.

- After sanctions on countries like India to buy oil from Russia, the US has made it difficult to go to other sources like Venezuela. This is a step aimed at Russia and China, and their allies.

- Oil-producing countries will not let the price of crude fall, considering their oil-dependent economies are already bleeding. They might boycott US companies selling Venezuelan oil and this uncertainty might affect oil prices.

- US action might be short-sighted, to protect sinking Trump courtesy economy, epstein etc.  This might affect geopolitical situations globally.
